Really? No one? Is it a oak? Or Cypress? Anyone?

OK, not an oak and not a cypress. I think it's something that blooms yellow, but I can't think of the name. I'm working on it.

Take a cutting to your Extension Service if you have one there.

Judging by the bark, environment, and the leaves I would say that I am about 95% sure that this is a Laurel Oak (Quercus laurifolia). I know this because I just finished a botany class and I did a field report and this was one that I had to ID.
