In our part of E. Texas, just south of Tyler we have had just over 11" this month. I'm a homeowner. Mowed last Saturday, and again yesterday afternoon. and took off almost 6" of growth. Temperatures have been a bit cool. When it heats up a bit with all the avalible moisture I don't know how I am going to keep up.

Robbo521 where about are you in North Alabama?
I am familiar with Weiss lake over by Cedar Bluff and Centre.
My Mom lives in Cedar Bluff, and my sister has Property their also.
I've been down there 3 time so far this year.

Please send rain our way. Three weeks have gone by since I have mowed some places. We did't have a good spring of rain. We need rain.

Drought the last two years...now weve had rain or about 28 of the last 31 days or something like that. I'll take rain delays anytime over dried up brown/dormant yards!

Cut one of my contracts today and was it ever dusty. There were a couple of times that I could barely see where I was going. I'm hoping/praying for some rain this weekend.

I am going on week 3 skips on some of my developments. I usually work around 50 hours a week I worked 22.5 this week. Send some up. Is any one getting just the right amount. It seems its feast or famine around the country.

Started here during the night. Checked & emptied gauge before leaving for work. 3.75", my wife called after it stopped another1.75 so that equals4.5. Thought skys were clearing, saw a bit of blue then it got dark and the bottom fell out again. We are probably somewhere near 16-17" for July alone so far. It needs to stop for a while.

Did two jobs this morning and it was dusty as can be. Got a chance of rain Tuesday evening..... I may go out and do a rain dance. My biggest payouts are contracts on an Army Post which call for a minimum of twice monthly. Last month I got 4 cuts which made for a nice pay day. The way it looks now I will only get the minimum of 2. If somebody knows how, jump outside and do a raindance for me:laugh:
