hi, im am looking for a zero turn mower and i have found one that my friend is willing to sell. it is a z450 '05 toro 52" with rubber discharge, full supension seat, donelson air filter, BUT NO striping kit. i have test driven this mower and i like is so far other than the only fact that it wont stripe. its got about 250 hours on it and the outside of the deck is in superb condition. it comes with three sets of baldes too. what would you offer this guy. what is this mower worth in your opinion!

thanks

that seems to be a little high toro sells the z400 19 kaw for around 5300 48inch and 52 for 5700 to 5900 new,,, i check out the new one's and ask the salesman what would a o5 be worth,, igotme a 04 scag 48 inch-cub 230hrs for a little less than3grand and i traded a 8n tractor to boot,, the tractor was worth about 1800,,,,,, so i basically got the the mower for 4200

A machine like you describe should be valued around $4000 or so.
Take into account the lack of a striping kit, which really isn't difficult to make yourself, I'd say no more than $4200 or so.
Bear in mind this machine is now three years old so the value will stabilize somewhat yet not much less than the $4K or so.
Take the model and serial numbers to a Toro dealer and they can tell you all sorts of things about that machine.

I think mowpart.com has a "blue book" program to estimate the value of a mower based on wear, etc. I haven't used it but I'm sure I would if I was looking at that mower.

My $0.02: looks like a nice mower, I'd flash 35 ben franklins and either catch a good deal or get punched out. I seriously doubt that it is worth more than 4k.

Has it been taken care of? If so I would buy it for 4250. I saw new Scag hydro 52" 19hp walk behinds with a sulkey and a floating deck going for $4500.
