Delta truck toolbox repair

Ok, this is stumping me. I have a Delta truck toolbox on my F-250. The handles are shot. The mechanism inside the box are falling apart. So I bought the toolbox handle replacement kit from NorthernTool.com. My question is how the hell you get the old ones off the toolbox, and how do you install the new ones? The little rivets (or whatever you wanna call them) dont really come off and then if you broke them off, how are you going to get the new handles on? Any help would be appreciated because this is driving me nuts!:dizzy: :dizzy:

Not looking at it I really do not know what I am talking about! But have you thought about grinding off the rivits, and replaceing them with pop rivits?
