48" bunton

My dual hydro bunton keeps pulling to one side. I tried to adjust the hydro but really never got it tweaked right. I was moving it about 1/8 turn each time. I have to constantly hold the one side in a little bit to go in a straight line. I was playing around and i noticed that the shaft has play in it. On further notice where the shaft goes through the handlebars to the pump the bushing is shot and thats where the play is. Could this be the problem? What else could it be? I'm open to any ideas.

What is the model number of your Bunton? There is a procedure for setting neutral and then the linkages. I need to know what one you have and I will be able to help you. If a pump is on its way out...that is another story but I can help you get it set up right first....
