Adjusting carb??

I have a Weed Eater brand PE550 gas edger. It has one(1) screw that can be adjusted. I am having a hard time getting to idle and run right. What could it be? I have recently changed plug, :confused: removed carb and cleaned it. Once I do get it started I have to run at full tilt to keep from dying out. Gas is fresh also.

I think someone stuck a banana in your tail pipe! I believe the one screw your seeing is for the idle speed - not mixture. Your going to have to remove and clean the carb again. Depending how old it is you may need a rebuild kit. Jerk that spark arrester out of the muffler too. Post back so we can go from there if it doesn't work. Good luck.

Might want to check the price of a new carb. Some of them for those cheapo pieces of equipment are very inexpensive.
