We have a McMillan auger with 3 bits. I think the bits are 9", 18", and 36". It's always worked great with no problems. They seem to be well built.

got a mcmillen, dont know the model, lunched a bearing in it and called mcmillen to find out about parts, all i can say is mcmillen's cust serv.blow's big time.did a little research as it turns out all planatary augers, all the part's except the hydraulic motor, are made by auburn gear, the same co. that makes differential's for car's&trucks, one of the best co's i've ever delt with.any way these auger co's.stick a steel case around auburn gears parts, put there name on it and sell as theirs, and seem to charge triple for parts.Mc,wanted $80.00 for one bearing.got a rebuild kit from auburn gear,2 bearings, seals thrust washers, lock rings, and sealer, for $102.00 to my door,in 2 days.just a little info i thought i'd pass on.
I believe that McMillian is part of Paladin attachments now. The same people who own Bradco,FFC ect. http://www.paladinbrands.com/

I'll try to grab this head/auger Saturday at auction. I believe this unit sells for $2500 to $2800, if I'm lucky I can get it for 60% of that.
