I probably didnt do as much prep work as I should of: 1) sprayed round up& waited a week, 2) raked as much lose as possible, 3) tilled and raked the rest, 4) leveled, spreaded Milorganite. Before a began laying the sod I let the irrigation run for about 10 mins.

It is certainly an improvement . Are you going to add any plant material ? Also , seems from the pics that the patio is lower than the surrounding turf - maybe not a problem since the soil is so sandy , but up here that would hold water . Thanks for sharing the pics.
