2002 chevy silver 2500HD 4x4 mileage.... ?

anyone have this truck? 8.1 w/ allison, do they put the allison in all the 8.1 gassers?

only thing i do not like about it is that when you take off it makes a wineing noise, 1st and second, chevy says this is complely normal. ours has 77k on it, whats the miles on yours so far?

I dont have the 8.1 or ally, but I do get the same whining in 1st and second as well. Seems normal I guess?? I get 10-12 city, 15-17 highway with the 6.0. My truck has 97,000 on it now
