Average price to repair yard?

My wife and I are considering hiring out the yard repair job, what is a average price per sq. foot that I could expect to pay? The area is about 5000-6000 square feet.
The job would include,
1. Getting rid of existing grass and weeds.
2. Bringing in black top soil
3. Grading the soil
4. Planting new seed.

I an not sure on how much soil will be needed, there area to cover goes from 0" on both ends to 5 " in the middle.

If it were me, it would probably be 3k.

Pics would also be helpful, but I'd venture to be in the same range as the previous poster. What's the purpose for bringing in the new soil? Is it to level out the yard or to add nutrients?
