During an 11 or so hour day when it is 90 degrees or more I'll go through probably about 2 gallons of water and 32 ounce sport drink.

The guy who drinks beer was a former roofer until he fell off! Now he wants something closer to the ground.

Funny, I actually kept track today. This is no BS-

Before noon, a large glass of ice water on the way in, 3 average bottles of water, and three 32 oz Gatorades. 1 large Chik-fil-a coke with lunch. post lunch- two bottles of water and one 32 oz Gatorade.

Two pisses total. Tonight- 2 Stella Artois brews.

Up till about a month ago all I drank was water daily. On a heavy workday I would cramp up pretty bad and be exhausted.

Now I drink a gallon of Gatorade and about a half gallon of water daily - no more cramps and get through the day much better!

Still drinking my water in the AC comfort right now. I play HS football- with mowing and two-a-days I'm somewhere over 4 gallons of water so far today.

3 32 oz of water and a 64 oz of gatorade and off at 3.30

my helper had downed a gallon by 11, i look over and he's hurling, guess the heat and too much water too quick.

straight water can be bad for you in high amounts- can swell your brain. Sports drinks are suggested periodically to replenish the salts and sugars.

I read in the paper a while back that a lot of athletes drink Pedialyte. Has no sugars to make you have runny poo. My girlfriend had some surgeries a few months back and the doctor said the same thing. That pedialyte is a lot better for the body than gatorade.

Here is an article explaining why

Half gallon of Life Mist Distilled Water before noon, then a large ice tea, then more water before the day was done. Two Boulevard Wheat's with the boys before heading home.

Usually 1 & 1/2 to 2 gallons of Gatorade per day. And then I still usually don't need to take a leak until the end of the day. I'm thinking of trying the Accelerade Power, but its expensive, because it has protein in it. Had to change shirts 6 times on Friday. The heat index is incredible!
