Looking to get a tiny-tach for my Lazer Z w/ Kohler 27HP (non EFI). Which model number should I get or is there another brand you would recommend?

We don't have a "brand" that we would recommend. We do know dealers have had much success with the Tiny Tech. There is a link below to their web site. Once you read up on the variety that they offer (original, commercial etc) it will help you determine which is best for your application.

I basically needed to know which tiny tach model number to get, 1c, 2c, 4c, etc.

This would be a question for the tach manufacturer, not the mower manufacturer. Maybe some other lawnsite members can help you out w/ your decision.

Check out this LINK (http://www.lawnsite.com/showpost.php?p=1884810&postcount=8). I installed the 2C on my Kawasaki 25HP that works great. I would expect this model would work well for you too.
