new lawn

I am planting a new lawn with perennial ryegrass here in southern Ontario. I just want to know if anybody has seen problems with an only perennial ryegrass lawn. Thanks

Down here in Ohio I see alot of Red Thread & Rust in Perennial Rye lawns. Seems like most new lawns are all Perennial Rye, cause its easy to get grass cover with Rye. Most guys in the biz
seem to use seed mixtures of 80%+ Rye and the lawn ends up an all Rye stand. I can usually fert the lawn and get it to grow out of Red Thread & Rust. :) ;) :) ED
