I just test drove a 1996 ford f350 dually 7.3 powerstroke diesel today.:)
It has 97000 miles and AT transmission and it 2wd oh well:cry: i dont use the
4wd in my explorer much anyways and dont plan on driving this truck much in the winter anyways. it crew cab long bed. this truck looks just too sweet
with banks exhaust and other stuff. it runs like champ and sound like one too.
I just paid off my ford explorer which need a brake from pulling my 6x12 Enclosed Trailer. My friends says that this truck is going to look funny pulling a 6x12 Enclosed Trailer but whatever I aways can go bigger in the future.
the trucks price is 10900. I will not be trading in my ford explorer. I plan in putting a down payment on it what would you guys put down on this truck?
I really cant to get this truck I plan on posting pictures soon.

offer 9900 and put a few thousand down. your getting a great truck. that is some low a$$ miles for that truck! good luck and get some pics up!

good luck with the truck. one thing to keep in mind is it is tougher towing when the trailer is shorter than the truck. can be overcome though. and if you upgrade to a larger trailer that won't be problem anymore :) .

Make sure to ask the dealer if the injector seals have been replaced. I used to own a 96. The injectors seals were made of a material that would deteriorate after some time. At only 97,000 it is about time. They will leak diesel ( will notice lack of power, and fuel economy ), and could possibly ruin the motor because the injectors are under the valve covers. They can be replaced by anyone that is somewhat mechanically inclined and a chiltons or haynes manual, in around 4-6 hours. Other than that, they are great trucks, and will run forever.....Dont let injector seals ruin the deal for ya, just a negotiation platform..

when i test drove it seemed to have good power.
Ive got to pop the hood when I look at tomorrow
I did take some basic diesel classes back in high school so i know some about them. Also it has banks gauge set and sounds like banks exhaust.
I really hope this ford turn out well because this truck has to last a while before i can think of a new :drinkup:

An F350 dually with a 7.3 for a 6X12 enclosed? Too much truck for that.
