I am considering pulling a plug aerator with a 36" Exmark TTHP with a 15HP Kaw.
I figured instead of putting cement blocks on it I could just put my 200lbs. on it.
I know it may look a little funny me sitting on an aerator being pulled by a WB.

My question is would it be to hard on the hydros?

Would it be so much weight on the back end that the front wheels would come off of the ground?

Thanks for your input!

You'll likely be ok, but walk behind aerators do a better job, always.

What makes a walk behind so much better?

abc, what size of aerator are you considering pulling with a 15 hp wb? I have a 48" that I pull with a JD 318. I tried to pull it with my 42"16 hp Walker but it would only work well on level ground.
All things consitered, topsites is right. The walk behinds do a better job, always! :) It's just not cost effective to use a wb on a large area. Unless of coarse it's a top end prop and cost is not an issue.
What makes them (wb) better? Well, they just seam to be more in tune with what they have to do. I'm sure it's a weight, angle, width, and a hp thing.
I use a wb on all my top end accounts.
