View Full Version : Gas Prices?
Just wondering what gas prices were in your area. Heard rumors that Springfield Ill. was at $2.79, southern Ill. was going to $3. Haven't been out of the building to find out what it is in St. Louis yet today.

my dad owns two mobils in CT. he received two faxes stating to prepare for a panic on gasoline. the second stated gasoline in CT was going to be allocated. since a lot of the fuel around here comes from the NY harbor, prices are expected to increase due to loss of offices in NY and ban on waterway traffic right now. i guess we will have to play the waiting game.

Refineries are being shut down due to the terrorists attacks. Simple supply and demand

just got a report from the gas station. we keep getting faxes of price increases as i write. usually only price increases come in the morning. i think the supply and demand theory is going to hurt the price. only time will tell.

I do work for Reliable Petroleum ...aka Shell .....in Brevard ....the word we got was .30 max .50 ....I filled up at 4pm today .....93 premium @ $1.65 ....yesterday it was $1.65 ....tommorrow ??
I filled all my tanks up tonite (just to be safe...for a while!) at my local station for $1.35/gal. I was scared about all this $3-$5/gal stuff, and it all looks to be a hoax.
Time will tell.

 I'm in western KS and today the price rose almost $3.30 and is now sitting around $5.00. To make it even worse I drive a 2001 F-350 diesel with a 32' gooseneck costing me well over $100 a day for fuel.
Things better change:(

Gas was 1.69 till they all ran out.
Lines were sometimes 1/4 mile long
If it hits $3-4 gal I will be calling all my per time customers and sitting at home (I have enough to finish my contracted accts.)

93 Octane
Sept 11 $ 1.65
Sept 12 $ 1.61
Word I'm getting is the high prices are affecting the areas where a rush on supplies is heavy .....the distributors have raised prices to slow demand
Kinda like the "Chicken Little" Story ;->

gas prices have been dropping steadily out here in jersey. it's $1.23 a gal for reg 87 octane.. The guy at the station I frequent said it will be going down even further thinks about $1.10 or so over the next few weeks.. Said demand is down substantially.. Works for me..
