Local dealers want between $175 and $200 for new carb for 2001 Briggs 11hp IC motor, off Little Wonder blower. Is there a company that I can deal with to get a factory carb directly?? thanks, Joe

Look, if the distributor didn't want $145-$175 from us dealers for a carb, we wouldn't have to charge you list price. But keep looking around for a carb instead of getting back out and using your equipment to make twice that on a job. :dizzy:

Maybe I can just get by with a re-building kit!

Well, your engine is a 1995, not a 2001!
I would certainly try rebuild before replacement.
You can download an IPL from the Briggs website that should be of "some" assistance.

You didn't describe any symptoms, but that carb does have adjustments.
What I would check for is vacuum leaks on the throttle shaft and in general.

These style carbs were known for worn throttle shafts.....

No, Not in the rebuild kit. In most cases the aluminum housing wears so check it closely before trying to re-build.
