I am thinking of buying a cab over. I need a crew cab. I need to tow my enclosed trailer that wieghts between 8-10 k when loaded.

Am i asking for to much out of a cab over?

Seen a Mits Cabover it was a crew cab had a utility body on it pulling a 16' trailer which probably weighed 6000lbs. The poor little truck was sucking wind it looked overloaded. Had 2 guys in the back seat and driver and passenger in the front seat. The truck was a 1.5 ton it looked like it had 16 inch wheels but they might have been 17.5 wheels.

I think those little cabovers pack a load better than towing a load. Those 4 banger rice cooker diesels don't have that much power.

looks like the Mitsu FE145 can haul 7 and tow your trailer, you'll be near its limit, I think the truck was 6k lb and it max GCVW was 19k lb.

An FRR would have more power than an NPR... I also think that Isuzu's larger 6-cylinder engines are much more durable than their 4-cylinder engines. I occasionally haul my Cat 248 w/ harley and dingo w/ harley on my FRR.

only problem (that i learned of after buying a crew cab cab over) is that to do any major service they actually have to remove the cab... $$$
