If your asking about mulching grass, when it's dry. If your asking about mulching the flower beds, I do it in the spring.
----------
<a href="http://www.townserver.com/elm/">Eric@ELM</a>
we mulch all the time march thru dec. we spread are jobs out. most mulching is done inthe spring. Some after the shrubs are trimmed, some in the fall, some after the leaves are down. it really depends on the client. we do about 1400 yards a season. we found the more we charged the more we did. when we got $50 ayard we did 200yds a year, we went to $65 we did 1000yds. now we get between 65 and 85 per yd depending on quanity and mulch type.

Our crews have already begun mulching ornamental beds. They cut a fresh edge with a power bed edger, pick up the edgings and spread double-shredded hardwood mulch.
Be careful to keep the mulch at 2-3" thick.
More is not better in this case.

----------
Lanelle
There is and article on mulching in this (February) months Grounds Maintenance magazine. Page 26, and it tells more than you would ever want to know. Also a good little article on mulching leaves on turf on page 1. www.grounds-mag.com
