I can't get the heads to quit turning at low idle. I cleaned the air filter, replaced the plugs, cleaned out the muffler for carbon and nothing helps. Could the clutch be gone out on both trimmers at the same time? Any suggestions. One carb has a air adjustment but I can't make it stop with it either.

Just a quick thought - it might be the springs on the clutch are shot and are engaging at low rpms. That would keep the heads spinning constantly.

Both carbs have a low speed adjustment. If you have adjusted
them both to idle as low as possible and the head still turns then
you have a clutch problem.

try stopping the heads at idle ,if they don't stop the springs are broken, very common

I agree with the above, if it won't stop at all, the springs have broken. If it barely turns, it the clutches are still probably about shot. Either way, I would get a set of clutches and stick them in. They are about $25.00 at my dealer and easy to put in.

Thanks for the input. I will pick up 2 and replace them Sat. I was hoping it was something else, but also thought it could be the clutch. Thought I would get another opinon before I replaced them though.
