View Full Version : seeding and AERAVATION
i been broadcasting seed at 1/2 rate and running the aeraVator over it and then applying the other 1/2 seed.
is this what you guys do?
also it seemed to make time if i ran the mechine in a circles.
what do you guys think?
12.00-17.00 to just aeravate
and 40+ to aeravate/seed.
sounds good?

Yes, Yep, and yes. I like going backward also, seems to really break it up.
So, since you have used it for a week or two, what ya think?

Have you guys thought about mounting these things upfront? I bought a cheap Agrifab aerator last year to put on the front of an old Yazoo and it worked pretty good. Easy to go up to corners, turning was easier and much better on the neck and back. I really like the looks of the aeravators and am thinking one would be nice to have. I do ball diamonds and they would work great, only trouble is they are put up for Tender every year and it's hard to pay for something like that when it's sitting in the shop.
ray: what a mechine!!!!!i need to see the seed jobs in 3 weeks or so ,but i can see that it will work.
ray: on dry soil i know that we have to stay in low first.if the soil is damp i been going in 3rd. low. how about you?
also i tell them to stop watering a few days before..i seems to pick up speed if the soil is a little damp...
does it seem like a slow process to you?
can too: what a mechine!!!!!!
