Most all Z riders here being major brands like Toro, bobcat, Great Dane, Bunton, Hustler , Encore, Gravely, Scag...and more this is the average ...for what we pay in charlotte nc for a rider
52-54" cut 18-23hp motor $6,500
60-62" cut 23-26hp motor $6,900-7,200 All the dealers always stress about how much these are suposed to be sold for (8,500) but they never sell them for that much so I dont know why they always talk about list prices and stuff...so what are you guys paying for your Z riders.

It was a floor model that was at my dealer last month, I had the m look it up. I don't think it was a demo but they may have used it for that by now. The 72 is a monster but it sure can cut grass. I'll e-mail you the dealer as to not conflict with any rules.

Last d/c we bought was xxw2500 72" for $ 9200.
Just purchased a 27hp l/q 72" bladerunner for $9700. and a 32hp diesel 72" bladerunner for $13,300.00
I've never heard of a bladerunner.........are they good machines? Do they have a website?

I also wonder about a website. If not, can you scan a picture in a brochure or take some and post them?

I personally think that this is the first machine that is going to give d/c some true competition in the area of the combination of performance without breakdowns. The machine has by far the best hydralic drive system that I have ever seen in a commercial mower! I am also impressed brakes and how simple of a design it is very similar to my d/c's. About the only thing that I am not sure that I like a 100% or not is the hydralic deck lift. But the rest of the machine is outstanding!
ERIC
It is raining today but when it quits I will take some pictures of one of the machines and try to post a few pictures!
By the way for all of you EXMARK, ENCORE, SCAG ETC. users I am not saying any of these machines are bad, I have just found with the d/c's and the bladerunner the simplier the design of the machine the less goes wrong.

My Toro Z master list for $12500.00. I paid $5000.00. It is a 48" deck. And for my lawns here it is big enough. I am not sure of the size of the motor. It is a Kaw. But this has the bager on the back. It is similar to Walker. The wheels are bigger than Walkers. It has been a good machine. I think I will go for the Dane, 36" deck. That way I can get through those 36" gates.

Bought a 5HP 26" Coast to Coast rear-engine rider that worked for $60. It's fun to use. Actually has a decent cut....It has to be about 30 years old. (I DON'T use it as anything, it's just for fun)

Husky 48" 18hp Kawi $5165.
Can't say enough good things about it.
I use it where it was never designed to go. It makes a beautiful finish cut, but I've used it to mow brush tall enough that I could barely see over. I'll probably get another one next year as a dedicated bagger.
Andy Lewis:
Disposing of my ex-wife was over $50k and that didn't cover the expenses during the serviceable life (7 years) somewhere around $125k. That $50k was the best $$ I ever spent! :D

Since you have both Kaw and Kohler 25 hp engines on two machines with the same size cut, how does the Kaw and the Kohler compare in power, fuel consumption, noise, ect.
There has been a lot of discussion on this, so I'm interested in hearing from you on this, since you own both.

Just bought the Kawasaki with 15 hours and haven't cut grass. The Kawi sputters and billows black smoke. The previous owner replaced plugs twice, and they are now fouled. The oil has also been fouled in 5 hours. It is at the dealer being fixed. I'm sure it is a simple problem.
The Kohler (1999) has about 1800 hours and has had no problems. Oil is changed at 300 hour intervals with Mobil1 synthetic. Has had occasional valve chatter but runs well.
The other Kohler (2000) has about 500 hours, again no problems. Oil was changed at 100 hours and again at 400 hours.
Both Kohlers experience after-run if 87 octane gas is used. On a hot day, you switch the motor off and it keeps chugging.
I like the sound of the Kohlers, they sound more robust, the Kawi sounds like a really loud electric motor.
Ken
Will update on the Kawasaki as time goes on.

It's funny how those 27 LC Lazers are still cheaper than the EFI model. I paid 9300 out the door for my EPS unit in late Spring of 2000. It seems like by now, especially with the demand caused by the trend toward LC, the price on the LC would be more expensive for the newer model.
2000 Exmark Lazer Z 60" $ 7500.00

I saw a nice Snapper rider on E-bay the other day for only $100 delivered any where in the world. I already got the best Craftsman in town though, I don't need another rider. One of you guys want to check it out though.
