View Full Version : Clover roots

I've started doing lawn restorations this fall, killing/removing weeds/moss, detaching, topdressing, and seeding.

One house I thatched today had a ton (at least 50%) of clover I had previously killed 2 1/2 weeks ago. The application was successful and killed all of the weeds. After thatching I some of the clover roots didn't come up even after repeated passes.

Are these roots dead yet because of the application, or are they going to start growing and producing clover again?

I haven't topdressed/seeded yet. Is it still possible to treat just the roots, I assume I need the clover leaves for that?

What would you do in this situation?

thanks,
