View Full Version : Overseeding St. Aug/Cent. w/RYE?
Most on my clients have either/or a mix of both. Does anyone have something similiar down south, that overseed with annual rye for the winter?
How do you prep, plant, fert, cut, ect ..?

St Augustine is stripped down to ground just like bermuda then broadcast the rye in and water for 1 week (three times a day). It is really hard to get it down but if you want a nice stand of rye that is the only sure way. You leave the runners...don't take it all the way to ground.

Right nmurph--Don't do it on either one--Centipede nor St. Augustine.
