my setup. not bad for my first season full time, imho. ive been part time for a while now. i started with the 48 turf tracer, 5x10 open trailer, weedeater and blower. i know equipment isnt everything but it keeps me excited about the business. i seem to pick up more accounts when i have a new "toy" to play with. anyone else like that?

i actually got it used for $7500. its an 2006 with 480hrs. thought it was a decent deal.

the exmark is great. the diesel has lots of torque.

Since you bought it used, have a dealer get the service bulletins and do the warranty work for you (if this hasn't already been done). The huge problem is the wheel motor spacers. Mine failed, not fun. They also just issued another one that is going to have a kit to fix 6 or 7 things, which appear to be minor.
Great mower overall though, I have had several others with no problems. I attribute the problem more to the fact that 2006 was the first year w/ the Kubota and the had some issues to resolve.

Keep an eye on them fuel filters and keep them clean!! Its a nice set-up and that diesel should be able to run to at least 4000 hours while the rest of the machine can compete with it.

I am very interested in getting a exmark zero turn with a diesel and a walk behind like you have. I also noticed that you have the mulching kit on the both of them am I right? I'f so I'd really like to know how well it does mulching grass and if your happy with the both of them I'm sick of dealing with John deere they really let me down this year with quality problems. Thanks Zach

yes i do mulch most of the time, the exception being early spring. both mowers do a great job on the grasses that i cut. obviously you will be dealing with different types of grass so i will let the guys closer to you tell you their experiences with mulching. i cut mostly st augustine, bahia and some bermuda. both mowers do fine mulching these grasses. under deck build up comes a lot quicker with the mulching kits though, mostly in wet grass. the exmark dealers here are really good and exmark builds and exceptional product. hope this info helps.
