Regular Wright Stander/ Rapid Height Stander

I'm going to purchase a wright stander this winter when the prices go down. i have been looking into it and the prices for both kinds are the same or in the same ballpark. so my question is why would you just purchase the rapid height if it has that extra feature? do they not preform the same or is their some type of glitch?
