what is the best way to estimate the amount of grass that needs to be mowed and how do you guys estimate mulch beds? im lookin for a specific tool or some idea of how to do this to get an accurate estimate.

ahhhh yes... wouldn't that be nice...

it simply doesn't work that way... there is NO magic.

you can find calculators everywhere.... in fact windows comes with a very good one....

the diffrence is.... fuel maybe 25 to 30 cents diffrent from where I am to where to you are....

mulch may be harder to come by for me than you.

I may have a NEW truck I'm paying for...
my trailer may be heaver than yours...
I may have more employees than you..

all of these factors determane price...

the issue is HOW much can I do it for verses you...

you will have to detername your cost, your margin...

then you can get a claculator, program it for you needs.
go out to bid. and just measure. punch it in to your figures and BOOM..

there is the price...

labor is Number 1 for most LCO's, I pay 10.00 an hour for labor. 15.00 for crew leader's

my prices are high, and most customers know this. at least by now they do.

where as joe's lawn care could do it cheeper......

there are just too many factors involved to give ya a good answer
