After months of research and demoing different z mowers, I'm the proud new owner of Hustler Super Z 60" with suspension seat. Going to pik it up Tuesday from Mclarens Automotive in Syracuse N.Y. . Only down fall now is that the season is almost over so I won't get to use it much.
you are fortunate, as far as something for it to do .
ive two months yet . bring it to me and ill iron out any kinks
and break it in for ya. okay , no well why not:D

Try the vac system for it. It'll get ya another 2 months of usage time for leaf clean up. Just a thought.

fastcut, congrats on your new Super Z. I demoed one and it seems like a well built machine. You should get many hours of use from it. :)
You're going to love it. I'm very happy with mine. Stripes very nice. You'll be surprised how many times you really use the 15 mph to transport. The controls are soooooo smooth. I've had this machine on some sick, sick hills and it holds them great! Keep us posted on how you like it.

Have you called your local dealer to see if they will bring you a demo or asked if the Rep in your area will bring out a demo?

I did get the catcher with mine. I haven't had a chance to use it on leaves yet, but have used it to catch grass a few times. I have a new job that had 8-12" to cut. After cutting it I threw the BAC VAC on to pick up the clippings. I had no trouble with plugging at all and the clippings were thick and wet. I can just back onto the trailer and dump the catcher without ever leaving the seat...very nice!
I really like the machine. It stipes soooo nice. I wish I had a digital camera to show you the pictures. I have a large property on a hillside that can be seen from a long way away. Lets just say that for those of us here on Lawnsite that are into stripes, they are defined enough to make us drool.
The things that I really like that I wasn't expecting to care about are the integrated parking brake with the steering levers and the 15 mph transport. The levers are just so convenient and I've constantly got the machine running 15 mph from place to place on my big properties.
Another thing that I've noticed is that the deck doesn't get much buildup at all. Even in the early morning wet stuff. It takes literally 1 minute a day with putty knife.
Now, if I could just afford a digital camera...

I bought a Hustler Z about 3 weeks ago and really seem to enjoy it . I looked into the catcher ,but changed my mind after finding out that you have to dump the clippings out on the ground or a truck. I thought this was doing to much extra work. So I
called Hustler and asked why they don't come out with a catcher that will load into bags where you can take the bags and put those in the truck............... and guess what, Hustler informed me today that they WILL have a new cathing system this comming spring that will use bags or bins! I will look foreward to trying this system out.

As with most Z's, you will need to get the front of the machine in the air, then take a 3/4 socket or wrench and hold blade and remove bolt.
It is very easy....

fastcut,
Are there any Hustler Dealers in your area? Do you have to go back to the selling dealer for warrentee work? Looks like a day trip.

There is no hustler dealer in my area, from what I heard is that PJ has been working with some one in the Albany area to become a dealer which is only 1 1/2 hours away. If I do need warranty work, I can just do the work myself. The dealer can just ship me the parts because ups is over nite to me. Then i can just send the warrenty part back for credit. Most dealers do not stock major parts like pumps, hyd. motors, and engines. So if the dealer was close by, chances are I would have to wait for parts anyway. Thats why I have my backup mower.
