View Full Version : How much to grease spindles?

A few months ago, I replaced both of my non-greasable spindles with greasable spindles. The old ones were just wearing out. My new spindles didnt come with any directions and was just wondering how much is the correct amount and how many hours between greasings. Currently I have been putting in 30 "pumps" of grease in every 30 hrs. Is this enought. How much do you grease them? Thanks:)

With the exception of 1 fitting I can't get to because I have to remove the deck, I grease non-sealed bearings every single day, 5-6 pumps each or so... That one I can't get to I do once / week, with synthetic.
Spindles? They shouldn't take but 3-4 maybe 5-6 pumps, you better look I think that stuff is coming out the bottom...?
That's how I know when it's enough, when it starts coming out the ends.

30 pumps? Wow. Thats a lot. You can do damage. Prob 3-5 is good. Thats all I do.
