I want to know if you can cut lengths of LED light strands like you can with the old C7/9 wire.

I went to Canadian tire and bought a hundred bucks worth of sample lights including a 50' strand of C9 clear LED's and a 25' strand of C7 5 watts multi colour.

What a difference. The LED's look like puke and the C7 5 watts look like magic.

I'm going to order a spool from Village because of their trigger clip on the socket. I couldn't attach these cheap ones onto the soffit with one hand but supposedly you can with the Trigger clip. We shall see.

I'm not going to sell LED's but I'm going to keep that strand, in the box and plug them both in side by side when I sell to show what a difference there is. Seeing is believing.

sorry didnt realize you were asking aboutc7 wire and putting in led bulbs. Yes you can make any length you want. Same as the incadescents. We did a roof in green last year with linkables from Brite Ideas, looked awsome. The led bulbs cost about 1.80 apiece.

Using the bulk c-9 or c-7 wire and the retro fit led bulbs, you can cut it any length. if they are led strings, you cannot cut them. use care, LED's are not for everyone. many have that "flicker" and most are directional, they only look good from one side of the bulb. we don't use them.
