I am starting a big job next week. We have alot of excavation on it before we can even start working. I ran the numbers, for what it would cost me to sub out the excavation by itself, i could rent a machine for the entire job and spend the same amount of money.

I am excited for having a machine for an entire job. I am curious to see how many man hours i can shave off the job by having the mini on site for more than just the initial excavating. BTW i got a great deal on the rental.

Anything is better than digging by hand so if you got a machine on the site doesn't matter what size of hole it will save you time.

Can you also move it to another jobsite and increase profit for hte duration that you will have it? Certainly a winner there.
