Yeah over the cab. We have to level it a bit and then run a 6" pvc pipe to the box securing it on the loader by taking off the deflector and using the welded studs and locking nuts that came with it. I cant imagine taking it off every time we needed to dump after doing clean ups all day, plus I dont have the capacity of a 1-ton dump so we'll be unloading leaves more often.

There isnt much difference than having a cooler rack on the front. Maybe the laws are different, but I really think that a police officer would have to be a a$$ to give someone a hard time about that....Looks great, sweet idea with the plow mount.

DOT and POLICE cant say crap! I can be 36" or less from the front of my bumper out and I am at 30" and as far as weight...my truck is registered at a class 3 so weight is not an issue. I had spring work done to it so its more like a 1 1/4 ton truck. Even with my 998lb plow on it the truck drops maybe an inch if that!

Thanks, the only problem I can fore see is the discharge shoot being on while driving but I see plenty of trucks (commercial) driving around with larger things blocking their view, but I can take that off in seconds and slide the 6" pvc pipe into the box.

As an officer, I can say that set-up looks strong and safe. In the event of a traffic stop, I don't see anything that would cause problems. (Believe me, I've seen 'rigs' that are a disaster waiting to happen.) There may some federal charge for extending the front of the vehicle however; there isn't a state charge, I checked. Good luck with that great looking set-up.

A whiile back I saw a setup like that on a dodge one ton on here. Can't remember the name of the guy. Worked great thought from what he said.

Yes! I finally got everything done last week. Everything works flawlessly, I do have to paint the rear door and put 2 lights on tomorrow. Been busy doing last minute stuff and actual plowing yesterday. We did 1 fall clean up so far and have 2 weeks worth to do before the snow really begins to fly.

I haven't even started my cleanups yet. The weather's been suckin lately, and all the lawns are like swamps. Last year at this time I had a bunch of cleanups done already. It's so hard to even cut the lawns when there like mush right now....at least for me. Leafs are about 80% down here.

Where are you located in PA? East, middle or west?

I know it snowed where he lives, not sure if he plowed but he might not have the box on anymore. Hopfully He got a few pictures. I would like to do a similar set up for next year.

Do you know NOT to run the blower for the trucks heater air conditioner?? the leaf dust from the front mount will dump it into the vents by the windshield. Vacuum it out every time you use it.

LOL this is funny, This is by far the best way to load leaves hands down. Its priceless to make rows and just drive along sucking them up. I think its funny you guys are shocked at this The 2 trucks we use have had this setup since 1988. But its illegal here to sell them like this because it blocks your vision and if you hit a car with an 800 pound piece of steel like that it will prob kill someone. Looks good i will post pics of the 1987 chevy dump we have built like this

I would think that if you are allowed to have a plow hanging on the front...that would not be an issue....

I just bought the same vac.........I am happy with mine also....

I was referring to the frontal clearance issue, and the chute is 6"...

You should put the blow side of the unit up to the intake on your truck while commuting. I think that would be redefining the word supercharged..
