Curious as to how many passes for aerating. Is it ok to just go one pass and two passes for overseeding or should you always go two. Thanks

I also do at least two passes, one perpendicular to the other when aerating and over seeding.

It depends on the conditions. If it's already a lush green lawn & just aerating I only do one pass. If I'm overseeding as well I do two.

Ohhh I get it, you guys must be using those tow behinds.
Now I finally understand straw...
And criss-cross aeration

Wow, 6+ years it took to understand that.
But I have to admit, criss-cross aeration had me going for a bit, what a joke that was.

One pass for me, solid axle 5hp tine-propelled walk behind.
No straw, no criss-crossing, no more.
