What time are you getting up to talk some **** with me manana for BOYZ vs pats Rotar? Wanna here something sad? 87% of the country is going to get THE GAME. Sad is that CA is getting San Diego-Raiders:laugh:  The top two Sunday night TV games this year have involved the Cowboys. Top Monday night TV game this year was Dallas/Buffalo.

Haven't heard that. Must be local media stuff or I missed the story. I take it you think the sock blood was tainted?

I'm sure the famous sock was genuine, and all that. These superannuated pitchers only point out how thin the pool of talent is these days, if they can linger on the way they do. (hello Clemens)

Yeah Buddy. Born in Mass. '71. Sox fan still today like you. I'm hoping for a Rox and Sox World Series. My dad and cousin will come out here from Mass. for the WS if both teams make it and I can get tickets. they know they have no chance at getting tickets in Fenway.

I loved following the Sox as a kid in the 70's before we moved out west. Yaz, Fisk, Rice, Evans, Lynn, Remy. Big fan of Clemens back in 80s and 90s. Still respect him, but kind of an *** now. Like me :)

I think Warren Spahn and Hoyt Wilhelm pitched in their 40s. But I see your point. Pitching is a very unique talent. The pool did not automatically expand just because the league did. Think what it would look like without all the latin and japanese pitchers. I also think steroid abuse among pitchers was every bit as bad as it was among the everyday players. I will be most curious about the Mitchell report coming out and who it names. I think it will actually help Bonds.

lol only 5 last night..I was spent from doing the prep work to my house..I have set every nail on the front side of my rental. Then I sanded, puttied, literally only caught 3 innings until my peepers were tired. Now today on Sunday morning I will continue prep my house/paint today..Hopefully I'm done by the pats game..You know Dallas has a slight chance cause of the home field adv..

Start with my killer pancakes with real maple syrup
Watch some ESPN
Steal newspaper from neighbor
Tire dog out at park so as to not bother me during game
Take a pregame nap
Post here occasionally
Sound like a good day?
I think it is going to be a dynomite game. Tons of hard hitting. Dirty play by both teams.

killer pancakes?

I put arsenic in it.

Basically I use the original Aunt Jemina mix (add egg, milk, oil not that add water cr-p) cut 50/50 with Hodsgon? Mill buckwheat. Add a teaspoon of pure 4 medal vanilla from Mexico. (Have to go across the border for this stuff) Beat gently. Cover with rag and let sit for 30 minutes while griddle gets hot. Grease griddle with that hot Indian gal Land O lakes butter. Butter each pancake. Serve on warm plates with warm vermont maple syrup.

OLE' ?

Wet_Boots
10-14-2007, 11:20 AM
I occasionally make some buttermilk flapjacks from scratch, making use of the 'self-rising' flour you get at the grocer's, with a bit of baking soda to balance against the buttermilk. Never tried adding buckwheat, though. Maple syrup, of course (usually Canadian, despite American brand names on the jugs)

I save the orange sauce packets that get included with some frozen ducks, and sometimes use that on flapjacks.

Don't know what happened with Eric Gagne. He was pitching great for the Rangers. Of course nobody takes us seriously. If Wakefield pitches the next game he'll right the ship. How about those Rockies?! Pretty amazing story. May never see a streak like that again in our lifetime.

Does Kornheiser also reference the robbed homerun call that Atkins had earlier in the game? There is definitely an east coast bias because they don't get to see the games. Heck last nights clinching game ended at about 11:30 our time. 1:30 eastern. baseball needs to change some things.

That was where world series fever came from. I faked every illness in the book to stay home and watch the series. We'd sneak radios with us to school and sprint home listening to them hoping to catch the last few innings. When the twins and Cards met in 65 or 66 can't remember every game seemed to be over by the time we got out of school.
