Welcome to Lawnsite.

Drive 75 will get rid of it, but since I'm sure it has seeded there already, the seed is alreay dropped and it won't help you out for next year by getting rid of it now.

I have a question too...

Once the plant dies from the frost...is that plant dead forever?

Yes, it is an annual plant and it is dying here already. Next year get your Pre-M out before the ground reaches 50 degree temps to prevent the seeds from germinating.

it's funny how your market is.

eric's clients would probably be very unhappy if they had crabgrass.

if my clients didn't have crab grass, they'd think their grass wasn't growing!

we are quite rural here on ROCKY TOP.

Read the labels. For problem lawns you may want to apply pre-m in the second application also.

ASSUMING you have a license to apply herbicides, you could kill the crabgrass now woith msma and put out barricade now and in Feb-march. with fall and spring apps of baricade of about 1lb active per acre, you will eliminate any crabgrass coming back. pre-m must be applied at the right time in the spring. it is cheaper, but only gives you a window of 6 weeks no matter what rate you use. barricade buys you close to 6 months. BUT- no seeding after you put it down. Daveg

pre-m is Lesco's trademark for their brand of pendemethalin (sp?).

It apparently is quite common at Lawnsite to use the term "pre-m" to cover all brands of crabgrass preemergent pesticide.
