Echo air/fuel adj?

Good day...

I bought an Echo straight trimmer at Home Depot last year. It feels like it is running rich and I am getting black crud building up on the exhaust area. The air filter is clean and it gets low use. It says on the info card that came with the unit that it may need adjusting after it has broken in. I can't see any adjustment screw. How is this machine adjusted??

You probably just need to try a different kind of oil, or double check and make sure you are mixing it to the proper fuel/oil ratio.

I will double check the fuel/oil ratio but I am almost sure it is right. thanxs

Echo oil mix 50:1 use echo brend oil and run at leastt 89 if not 93 octane should work i run 93 and get very little crud
