I have been asked about a few jobs that require stripping sections of soil away from the foundation, down to the footers. Some will be as much as 9 feet deep and 20-30 feet long. Nothing I haven't done before, but new for my business.
We are growing into heavier work from standard landscaping. We have our landscape contractor insurance modified to cover what we currently do including light excavation. This new work is heavier excavation. I will definitely have a chat about it with my insurance agent cause I want to make sure its covered.
Should I expect a significant increase if any? What defines heavy or light excavation?
