who do you report new hires to? I have had an outside co. that handled payroll and they took care of it but the p'd me off alot lately so i canncelled. My wife handles the payroll now as she is an accountant and does it at her job but does not know were to report new hires to.

Not sure what you mean by "reporting"

All you really need is a complete I9 form that you keep with their records.

In Illinois we are required to report all new hires to the Dept of Employment Security within 20 days of their hiring date.

There should be some info and maybe a downloadable form on your state's website if new hire reporting is required for you.
