#1 Demo the triton with the faster blade speed.
#2 Demo the Ultracut with the mulching kit.
#3The grasshopper with the mulching deck and as much HP's as needed(28D).
#4 If you have a hustler dealer try one of them too.
Make sure you Demo Any mower you are interested in. if no demo----no sale. I have found in my travels that the DEEPER decks mulch better and faster.

#1 and #2 are right on target. #3 and #4 are for fools!!
I've heard the Triton does an unparalleled job in Florida's conditions. If you do as John as directed, I'm confident you'll be part of the Exmark family!! Good luck w/ you choice.

All i seen in back in the day was 22Kaw L/C Turf Tigers in the shop for a Internal leak.
I was always told "watch the temp" or it will over heat. i have better things to do on a Lazer doing 8mph across a lawn.

Do you mulch?? the Ultracut is good at that.If you wait till 08 i think you might be able to get the Lazer HP with the 52" ultracut deck. call around to different dealers to see if they have any.

The advantage is a commercial mower. its just has the full size Lazer frame and with that it takes away from the trim side on the 52" Ultracut.
The lazer hp is better suited for the 52" deck.

also it appears thehp may mow less acerage per hour?? this is not a huge concern as i do smaller lots-but just an observation. what i wanna know is why the heck do they make the current hp in such odd deck sizes?46 50 and 56?? with such small kaw engines? 19 and 23? he showed me that model but compared to the aforementioned lazer as i thought that looked like the better mower

lawnjockey56,
It's good that you seem to be doing your homework on which Exmark to purchase. The LHP unit is a smaller frame unit that works great for small and large properties alike, but where it really has a leg up on the LAS is it's size and ability to trim easily around obstacles. The LAS unit is a full-frame unit that will also perform well in trimming situations, but more care needs to be taken by the operator to not scuff turf. However, where the LAS lacks, it makes up for in horsepower!! In the end, it's really about your application. Take into consideration the types of accounts you serve and if you need a full-frame, higher horsepower unit, or you need the nimbleness of the LHP. Better yet, demo both units!
Good Luck,
KC

The new size decks are awesome. they fit better in areas the other(what your use to) did not.
Those engine sizes are perfect for the Hp. the other mower you like has a 60" deck that the 28 runs. they just have the same engine for the 52.

Sorry for the confusion. I may have mispoken in the other thread. As far as I know, there is no UC option in the LHP line, only a TriVantage 52". The only UC in the line (besides the AS line), is the 60" UC on the full size Lazer Z.

As long as you are offering the uc on the full size LZ, why not just offer the try deck as an option also?
Heres what the 2008 Lazer Hp 52 try deck is going to look like.(without the bagger)
