I am looking to buy a new skid steer. I am looking at the Mustang 2109. I want the weight and size and speed for using a snow pusher in the winter. the size should not hurt me in the summer for the work I do. Does anyone have experience with the 2109? On new construction, how does it do pushing and grading? How does it go in wetter conditions? Overall, what quality does Mustang have? I know they have been around a long time, but I have heard they might have a couple problems. What is a good price for a new machine with cab, heat, 2-speed, sus. seat? Any help is appreciated.

Hi Joe I have a 2109 and so far has been a great machine ,it's got about 400 hrs ,grading is as good as it can be pushing power can only be compare to CTL it will out lift everything out there including most backhoes, so for truck loading it's amazing my machine is a 2006 with 115 hp perkins the new one has a cummins witch I consider as good or better my price was 51k with every thing that you've listed incl hi flow and that was after Katrina so now it might be a little better priced ,I won't be able to give you any imput on snow plowing since I don't know what the word "snow" means.

Mustang is a decent machine, probably as good as anything out there...but...
make sure you check out the resale values, around this area (Mid Atlantic)
the resale stinks. The other thing that I notice about the Mustang vertical lift machines is that the rear end sheet metal takes a beating. They get ugly fast with light tin work around the radiator area that must overhang more than average.
