One of our macho techs tightened the fitting on some 1804 retros and broke the top half of the 1/2" nipple out of the body.

Any chance to repair this part of the retro?

Paid $13.00 for each of the two he broke.

Thanks

John

Not what he is talking about. We use retros all the time and I've never broken one so I'm not sure what part broke. can you post a pic? That 1/2" swivels and is attached to the prs. Did he crack the 1/2" threads themselves? Next time tell the dingaling to just use two wraps of teflon and hand tighten.:hammerhead:

fimco, do you use teflon on spray heads when you attach them to the nipple?

He broke the nipple on the swivel on the top of the PRS. Time for the trash I guess.

Thanks,

John

Bummer. We actually use the RB 1/2" prs and avoid the retro if we can. If it involves digging up 1812" popups then we'll gut the body and use the retro for labor saving costs. That mesh screen is nice though.

Personally I think those retro kits are idiotic for anything other than a temp setup.

Renovating require taking what already is idiotic and using idiotic stuff to make it less idiotic.
