I saw a semi load of Christmas trees being unloaded last Saturday. Don't know where they came from (usually Wisconson). Is this too early? It was 71 degrees here today.

The grower I buy from started cutting 2 weeks ago. I asked him the same question, he informed me ther tree can easily last up to 90 day once they are cut. It also kinda comes down to gettign everything cut in time, kinda like us with pre-m gotta get started early to get in all down in time.

couple of thoughts....
1. there are 5 Thursdays this year, need to go a full 8 days past Thanksgiving to get to the 1st of December. 2008, December 1st is Monday after Thanksgiving.
2. trees can be cut any time after a killing frost/freeze. (keep spruce bundled and buried on the bottom of the pile. suppose that depends some what on what zone your in.)

We cut ours a week early, its going to be pushing 70 this week, and with the drought the trees seem and prob are dry. Im hoping people take fire prevention with reguard to cut trees extra seriously this year.
