I went w/ my friend and my dog out wed before Thanksgiving, got into our sweet spot, 45 min before legal. Right at legal a guy w a boat comes up to hunt the same area, kicks up about 40 birds, then sets up across from us, we leave. I shoot one mallard on the way out. We go to a salt marsh and see about 60 birds in a channel. I shot 3 teal w/ one shot in the air, unbelievable shot, i couldnt do that again in 2 lifetimes. Anyway i ended the day w/ 5 birds. I breasted them out and left the fat on, i used a stick of butter in the pan w/ about a tablespoon of crushed red pepper flakes. I used a chicken seasoning on the breasts. Fried them up meadium rare. Better than any steak i had had. Usually duck has a strong liver, not w/ this recipe the flavor was good as a steak.
