Hey guys this is our first year doing lights we are new and need some help. I am having trouble with some mini lights. They are blinking on and off. Why is this? What do I need to do differently? I also have a tree that continues to go out. We have about 1k mini's on it and it works when we are there to reset it but the customer called again and said it was out. I am just trying to learn and don't know where else to go. Thanks

Regarding the blinking lights, I wonder if there is a "blinker" bulb on the strand (bulb might have a red tip)? ARe they all blinking or just isolated strands? Check to make sure you didn't purchase lights meant to blink, chase, etc.

The tree with about 1k minis: is it tripping a breaker or GFI? Make sure that even though the outlet is available, there isn't anything else pulling energy from the breaker. I absolutely love my amp clamp and have used it a lot.

no blinkers bulbs... They weren't blinking when we installed them. I think it is the breaker. I have not been by yet. The customer said it goes out sporadically. Of course I get it working when I am there and then they go out 4 day later...
We are pulling that much power off 1k of mini's so I think the breaker could handle it. Plus they worked at first. We got some snow not much but I guess moisture just got in them. What is your suggestion for moisture? Thanks for the help

Living in Florida, moisture is around all the time. Between sprinklers and rain, the dang GFIs are crazy. I wish I had the answer for this- other than I have been lucky this year, but last year was a living nightmare. I tried taping the connections and it didn't seem to do a lot. Main thing I learned about this was to manage the expectations ahead of time. Let your client know this can and will happen ahead of time.

Not sure I have a lot of solid help here. Maybe the vetrans will chime in on it.

Well thanks for trying to help. Everything was fine until we had a little snow and it seems to have gotten this particular house screwed up?????
