I'm sure that many of you have noticed a lack of participation by me for the past week. This is because 1. I was out of town for a few days, 2. we are slammed, and 3. my 16 year old daughter has been very sick. She has been ill for 3 weeks now and has had a fever to fight for 2 full weeks. She has had many tests done including MRI, CAT, blood work and sonogram and we still don't know what is wrong.

I am asking you, my friends, to please include Samantha in your prayers. She's a great kid and she is really dealing with this like a trooper.

Thanks to all of you in advance and I'll be back on here soon.

Paul, there is nothing worse in the world then having to witness a child's pain, suffering or sickness. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your daughter and your family.

Paul... May the Good Lord place his healing hand on Samantha in her time of need. May God give you and your family the strenght to endure trying times.

Hope she feels better soon amigo.

Already prayed for her and the doctors. I will continue to throughout the day.

Thanks everyone, your prayers and wishes are very comforting. Samantha has some more appointments today and maybe we'll find out something. I will update as soon as we know something. She has Chrones disease and therefore is on medication that lowers her immune system. This allows all kinds of things to effect her unlike other people.

Thanks again everyone,

Hey Paul, My thoughts and prayers are going out to you Samantha and your family. Our daughter (only child) is 17 so I feel for your situation. Some might call me overprotective of her. :) Hang in there! If you need to talk about anything at all give me a call.
God Bless!

First let me thank all of you for your prayers, it is nice to know that you are there. Here is an update. Samantha saw a specialist today (again) and she has been diagnosed with Cytomegalovirus (CMV). This is a normal virus that most of us have had but very few actually have any symptoms. Since Samantha is on drugs that lower her immune system because of Chrones disease, this virus has been able to attack her something fierce. She just had another blood test taken and she will be seeing an infectious decease specialist to see what we have to do to fight this thing off. The good thing is that we now know what the problem is. Fighting it will be another story all together.

Please keep those prayers coming in for her, she still needs em.

Thanks again guys and God be with each of you,

To quote G.I. Joe "Knowing is half the battle." That is good news, now I hope that everything can be resolved in a quick and painless fashion. Best wishes to you all.

I had my 2 1/2 year old son include your daughter and your family in our family prayers tonight, I hope everything works it self out soon. I have been in and out of the hospital with both of my sons and don't wish that on anyone. The power of prayer can surprise, so hopefully this new diagnois will lead her doctors in the right direction and get things back on track and get her healthy very soon.

Paul, How is your daughter doing?

Once again I want to thank all of you for your prayers and wishes for Samantha. She is doing much better now. She is in school today and plans to stay there all day. She has not been able to make it through an entire day of classes since before Thanksgiving so this is a pretty big thing. Her immune system has now been able to fight the virus that she has but that has allowed her Crohns to start acting up again. We will find out this week what the next step is. I'm sure that she will be OK and your prayers and well wishes have helped give us strength to deal with all of this.

I'll give another update as soon as we know something else. Please continue those prayers and I will remember all of you as well.

Merry CHRISTmas to all of you as well.
