I have a property with some estimating issues?

First off what do you guys charge for a spquare foot or acre?
i have bid for a property with 6.15 acres of grass, which is also 296,569 square foot?

What is your take and does anyone charbe by the sq foot and if so what is the rate? 2 cents, 3 cents or more?

also same propert what do you charge for 4 chemical/ferts?
mulch areas are 28,579 sq ft is that truly 178.62 yards of mulch how much to charge for yard of mulch, and what is the rate for snow removal?

Thanks alot

most people charge by the hour not the foot. $50 to $75 a hour seems to be the what people charge in my area.

the same with mulch charge by the hour plus the cost of the mulch.

I'm not sure but I think a yard of mulch = 300 sq feet.

Your better off charging by the job (how long you think it will take times your hourly rate) than by size. Hills and all kinds of obsticles can make a huge difference in how long two properties take of equal size.

$100.00 per acre on the applications will keep you competitive with the big boys, and you will still make money.(about $50 on granular apps/$75 on liquid apps)

Anywhere from $30 to $60 per acre mowing (how easy?/how much time?)
I mow one 3 acre property, takes 1 hour (w/o trimming) $30 per acre +-
I also mow a 1 acre property, takes 1 hour (w/ trimming) $65
so it varies.

296,569 square foot of turf

mulch areas are 28,579 sq ft is that truly 178.62 yards of mulch

296,569 square foot of turf - - -Totally depends on obstacles and turns and other factors, especialyl what size mower do you have??????

mulch areas are 28,579 sq ft is that truly 178.62 yards of mulch - - -It would be 178 yards of mulch if you were putting it out at 2 inches. Standard hardwood can range from $45-$100 (depending on who you ask) per yard bought, delivered and installed, but how are you going to install the mulch? For that much and I assume a lot of little different areas you better have a loader to move stuff around.

Hate to be a ****** here but it seems like you have no idea what you are doing. Everyones cost is going to be different depending on their particular overhead and how much money they need to maintain there standard of living. But usually the way it works is the larger the property the lower the rate goes for items such as mulch, plants, trees, etc. Normally you cannot charge your standard rate for putting in 2000 plants as you would for 20 because they will find someone to do it for alot less. Also be prepared to work for peanuts as most commercial properties want the job done for the cheapest price not necessarily the best quality.

Not criticism, just correcting misinformation. Isn't the correct number a help? Would be to me.
