I really like it too. Only problem I have is the lawnsite.com on the sticker. I don't think I would want potential customers being able to easily find out all our info. Too much here about pricing, costs, and how to.

I would take a couple.

Ill make a few more images with Different styles also..

Nice. I wouild take a shirt and a sticker if available.
I agree though about the Lawnsite.com thing. Unless of course this was made a pay site. Then we wouldn't have to worry about our customers loggin on.

Eric ELM
10-15-2001, 07:21 PM
If one of my customers logged on here, it wouldn't bother me. I have nothing to hide. ;)

99% of my customers would never see the bumper sticker anyway. They are at work when I mow their lawns and the wives are in their big ole houses or off shopping. :)

That looks great! :D

Not too be a critical bastard, but I wouldn't mind if the lawnsite and the "2001" were removed. A couple of more months and it'll be 2002.

Plus if your customers thought you were alittle high on price..Id think they would look for someone cheaper. But if you do good work at the price you gaev them, they would have no reason to look elsewhere..As far as other LCO's coming in here from the Bumper sticker..1.I guess I did good work on making them..2.I personally dont care if they come in here..Heck most new comers come in here asking for advice and most of us answer them anyways..
Im going to redo it I think...I think it saying "Landscapers Keeping America Beautiful" sounds better..

I made this for reasons
1.It was brought up on another thread..
2.I made this because Im a proud member of the only dedicated site to us(lco's)"www.lawnsite.com"
3. and most important I am a PROUD AMERICAN Lawn Maintenance provider..

Eveyone outside the terrorists is included in the above..I didnt want to sound like I hate everyone outside the USA..

I just read a long thread on this same subject on one of the other forums. Another one of the Jersey guys may have seen my friends truck with the big sign over the cab on his Dodge. You might want to read that before going ahead with those stickers.

I will say that I agree on not putting lawnsite on them.

Nice design....count me in on a couple. The "lawnsite.com" doesn't bother me as much as the "2001". I really don't think many customers are going to go to the extent to look on this web site searching for pricing information when they can just look in the yellow pages and get free estimates. Just my opinion.

It just seemed to me that many members, including myself, think there is no need to advertise Lawnsite to the general public.

I do like the sticker design.

I would take a couple without the lawnsite.com and date on it. If any of my customers saw me on here, they would think I am too conservative and drop me. lol

Hey Chadslawn you did a great job. I dont mind the Lawnsite.com on there but how about making it a little smaller font size. That way we can express the Landscapers keep America beautiful in a larger font. And the 2001 could also be eliminated like someone else mentioned, it is almost 2002. Just my opinion.
Thanks for spending quality time on it. It does look very nice.

I hope to have another design done tomorrow night..The 2001 is there in memory of sept.11,2001..

If I get enough people interested in buying some of these,I will have them printed..I have to sell at least 250 to make it worth making them, which isnt much..If your interested just leave a reply saying how many you want and with or whithout lawnsite.com on it..the 2001 will not be on there..

Thanks Chad

Chad,
Why don't you put 9/11/01 since it only takes up one more space. I think if you want it to represent that date, the date should be on it plus the year.

I will mount one of these (with Lawnsite.com on it) on my tail gate some way, so other lawn companies in my area will see it and hopefully come here and learn.

What color of tees were you thinking of putting this on, white? That would look good, but I was thinking, light blue would look awesome! Count me in for about a half dozen bumper stickers and about a half dozen shirts of the latest design. I'll let you know what sizes if we find this thing is a go.;)

I hear an awful lot of arsez beginning to pucker at the thought of LS.com being on the sticker. I would not delete it, however, I would make it smaller so that you can pay homage to C.K. and his efforts and get some new blood flowing thru the 'ol site, yet not the LS look like an advertisement taking away from your statement.

I personally have not said anything that I am afraid of my competition finding out. I have been fortunate to compare notes with many of our re-bid competition this fall and I seem to be on the high-end of the middle bids - Thats FINE by me!!!

I would not discourage the education of our competition yet bring them in here and see what they've got to offer and if they can run with the big dawgs - LOL!!!

Just my nickle.

I would like some of the stickers. And a couple of Tee's if they come about.

I also think that lawnsite.com should be omitted from the design. The idea of profiting from the misfortune of others does not set well with me. Monetary or advertising.

I bought some tee shirts the other day that were made for the Red Cross. The company that made them only recovered their expenses and the Red Cross got the rest. They did not have Red Cross printed on them at all. Just the tribute to the victims.

I also think that lawnsite.com should be omitted from the design. The idea of profiting from the misfortune of others does not set well with me. Monetary or advertising.

I didnt know something happened to lawnsite.com..

Look how many people took advantage of this misfortune..How many T-shirts do you see with American Flags on them now..How many did you see before??
Look at all the cars on the road with American flags hanging off there windows since 9-11-01...How many did you see before??

If I wanted to make a huge profit off what happened I would have made them saying "Americans Keeping America Beautiful"....Hmmm maybe an Idea there...NOT...

I guess im gonna have to make my self clearer...
Someone came up with the idea that someone should make bumper stickers that say "Landscapers Keeping America Beautiful" I read that thread and jumped on the Idea..I put lawnsite.com on there because Myself and many others are proud members of this lawnsite. If you are worried about competitors coming in here and getting Ideas and maybe taking your work from you, then you must not be doing a good enough job.I put 9/11/01 on there because myself and many other LCO's will never forget that day of Terror..

I am not gonna take off the lawnsite.com unles Chuck wants me to..I found out who my true customers were when I went into the hospital back in June for 7 days..I thank them everytime I see them for understanding what happened and for them staying with me..Customers like that are the ones who get that little extra done for FREE..

Ill be lucky if I make .25 off each sticker sold..

So please guys/gals understand I spent alot of time making this to represent everyone in our line of work.In the America's(north and South). This has nothing to do with the terrorist attacks..

Okay Chad hows about this???

If you want to pay homage to this site, and you want to utilize your patriotic right, you need to make some minor adjustments IMHO.

1. The words of the sticker (the landscape part) should run the length of the sticker and be the biggest thing on it.

2. Instead of putting In Memory Of how about Never Forget. This way people will not see this or confuse this with the demise of lawnsite. That was moms first impression who is a HUGE FAN of organic gardening. Place this same set-up into the upper right hand corner with a medium sized font that is about half the size of the first font.

3. Then I would place the lawnsite.com down in the lower right corner so that the sticker still has a fluidity about it. And once again I would have this font about half to 1/3 the size of the second font.

Just my ideas on how to make your sticker better. ;)

For those worried about LawnSite.com on a bumper sticker, just a straight edge and a razor blade will remove it. Then stick it on your truck.

Thats a GREAT idea for those who have been posting here about how to overcharge their clients -LOL!!!
:o
My only qualm with this idea is to keep take away the congested look and to keep everything legible. Is this a landscapers sticker, a WTC sticker, or a LS.com sticker???

Its a Landscapers sticker that needs to incorporate the other two without having them overpower the intial message.

Hey CHAD,

Make another version not so patriotic to have a little more emphasis on OUR INDUSTRY. I threw one together for you and all to look at, just as a comparison. Feel free to take it, change it, do whatever you want to do with it, it is just a suggestion (no time to get involved in printing t-shirts/stickers....). GOOD LUCK!
