Has anyone thought of or seen a truck built like a two for one package, a dump and a mower truck. I was thinking of making a ramp setup that would some how be able to put on both of my dump trucks, but easy to take off. I like the idea of the trucks that carry the mowers on the back, but don't want a dedicated truck for this. It would be nice to have a mower truck, but in like 5 mins have a dump truck. And i could switch that attachment between the two trucks in case one was broke down.

Find my thread...dodge dovetail or something like that and check out my ramp system. It is very easily removable and simple to make.

How does that 72 work out as far as the deck hanging up? Looks kind of steep. I don't what to weld the actual dove tail part to the dumptruck it has to be able to be revoved too, not just the gate but thanks

A switch and go system or a hooklift system would work good. The switch and go might be cheaper plus the fact it acts more like a dump truck over a hooklift.

This is perfect do you know where i can get any more info on it.
As for the switch and go, that would be a great way to go, but as of now i can't afford somthing like that. I ust what to make somehing that will work with the trucks i already have. Thanks for the ideas.

I run 60" ztrs... and the deck never hangs on the ramp or bed. Even if you don't have a dovetail, you can make a folding ramp work. Mine folds out to 9 feet. Since your bed is a bit higher without a dt; I'd say that 11 feet would serve you well. To save weight, you'll have to customize the width of the ramp treads to fit a specific mower. You can easily build one for about $100 worth of steel. Having the middle of the ramp open is also quite handy when it comes to changing blades in the field... Just pull the mower up... Set the parking brake... and you have a bay that is good as any lift. I have a 12 volt impact that plugs into my 7 pole to help out.

There is a company that is in Tennesse that makes a Landscape bed truck with a removable dove-tail that will dump. I have seen it in my Landscape industry magazines. I believe it is a cab-over truck with a 16' bed with a 4' dove-tail
