Mower decks

I have a problem concerning decks. The edge of some decks on the right and left are curved and some are straight. Which is better? Does this make a difference on triming and the quality of cut. Does it effect how close you can get around trees and houses and such like that. Let me know!

It's all but meaningless. I had a 48" Kees deck that was perfectly rectangular and it did a fine job. You'll find most are properly baffled underneath.
