Just wondering if any of you know how much you spend on oil changes per year in your trucks and if you have someone do it for you??? What would you say if I could add to your bottom line at the end of the year?????

I spend about $25 each time per truck and I do it myself. I'd say between the two trucks I do 7 oil changes a year, so about $175 a year.

I just changed the oil today in my 6.0 F-450 it was due I change mine every 8000kms (5000 miles) because of the weight of the truck (9300lbs) and the grades the truck is climbing. The oil I drained out of her was black as tobys azz
I run nothing but Delo 400 15w-40 I finally got some Delo LE it may run a little cleaner. The 6.0 Ford holds 15 litres of oil (4 US gallons). When I do the oil changes on my brothers 12 valve Dodge Cummins and it only holds 8 litres (2 gallons). Every time I think thats it because I'am used to PSDs and the amount of oil.
Oil Filters for the Ford are 18 dollars or around that price I bought 3 of them from the US via online saved a good chunk of money.
Bought a case of 6x 1 gallon jugs which Delo comes in now for 89 dollars and used 4 jugs so it is 59.00 dollars for oil for each change
I have changed the oil in the truck this year 3 times so 231 dollars this year and I have only owned the truck for 9 months.
I changed the transmission oil (6spd manual) that was around 50 dollars and changed the 80-90 in the rear end another 50 bucks.
I do 90% of the repairs on my truck the only time I take my truck to a shop is if I don't want to do the job or I don't have time to do it. Oil changes I do myself regardless I'am not paying 70 dollars per hour for someone else to change oil.
Oil is cheap parts are not it is cheaper to change the oil than rebuild the engine or buying parts. I started pulling wrenches 15 years ago doing most repairs on my truck the only thing I haven't done is engine or transmission rebuilding.

$238 every 8,000 miles for the International.....twice a year. Its got another 1,500 or so to go but I'm going to go ahead and get it changed now so that its ready for the spring vs pulling the truck out of production for a day once spring gets here.
$238 = full service, not just oil.

If I could prove to any of you that I can save you $$$ over a years time and only had to change your engine oil probably once a year, would you consider switching to Amsoil? A commercial account (which costs you 0) will save you considerable money. If anyone is interested PM or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can provide you a price list.
